Coming into a strange place and maybe only knowing one or two people (or even none!) can be a daunting experience. At Living Faith we welcome all visitors and encourage you to participate in what you are comfortable with.
Our church service is fairly standard with praise and worship songs for about 20-30 minutes, then we will take up an offering (for those who are regular attendees); take communion (this is voluntary – see note below for an explanation on communion) and hear the main message. At the end of our service we welcome people to come forward to receive prayer and a touch from the Holy Spirit. Otherwise you can simpy get a cuppa and a biscuit and spend as little or as much time as you like getting to know others who attend LFCC.
What is Communion?
Communion is a time when we pause to acknowledge the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ when he was on the earth some 2000+ years ago. Small, indiviudal cups of juice are passed around, along with a piece of a cracker. The juice represents the shed blood of Jesus and the cracker his broken body. We do this as per the principle Jesus asks us to follow in I Corinthians 11:24-25.
Childrens Church (Currently only available at the 10.30am service; crèche is available at all services where you can also watch and listen to the service)
“Children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3)
On behalf of the Children’s Ministry team, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve your family in Jesus’ name.
We believe that in accordance with God’s Word, God has given parents the primary responsibility for the spiritual training of their children (Deut. 11.19).
Our role is to partner with you in your children’s spiritual journey.
Our ministry is for ages 6 months-12 years. We have separated the children into age groups of 4-7 years and 8-12 years, so we can make teaching specific to their developmental stage. We have just opened a Toddlers Church, to cater for the 0-4 year olds. The Toddler’s Church includes simple (age appropriate) teachings which emphasise learning through play.
Children’s Church commences after Worship and Notices and runs for 30-45 minutes.
In addition we offer a room off the side of the church for women who are needing to tend to their baby’s needs. You are able to watch and hear the service from within this room.
